Beyond Brilliant is a transformative youth empowerment life coaching, and educational consulting program with a mission to equip individuals with the necessary tools and support to navigate life's challenges and transform educational settings to yield more equitable outcomes. Born out of frustration with the limited resources available to empower and support young people, especially after COVID school closures, Beyond Brilliant was co-founded by Emily and Gazalle in 2022. While Emily, a remarkable and brilliant school counselor who shares a deep care for youth, is no longer directly affiliated with the program, her invaluable contributions remain a driving force behind its inception. Check out our Educator Wellness Tab to connect and learn more about Emily's continued contributions to our community. As we continue to grow, Beyond Brilliant remains committed to empowering the youth and fostering resilience through individual and community connections, fostering resilience, and working collaboratively with the community to create a brighter future for all. We are deeply passionate about working with our community to support and uplift the youth, employing asset-based approaches that focus on their inherent strengths and potential. We truly believe that our world is a better place when our children are fully supported.
Our mission at Beyond Brilliant is to empower youth through meaningful and supportive connections, strength based approaches, social experiences, and cognitive behavior therapy coaching. Through our unique program offerings, we work to foster growth, independence, and self confidence through individualized social skills development, mental health coaching, and academic support.
My name is Gazalle, pronounced Jaz-al in English and غزل in Farsi. As an Iranian American immigrant, a lot of my life's journey has been about belonging. When I moved to the U.S. at 12 years old, I felt completely lost and out of place, especially at school, despite my love of learning. As a public school educator, my focus has always been to build a classroom community where all my students felt like they belong. With an unwavering passion for empowering students and placing relationships at the forefront, I am dedicated to driving meaningful change in the field of education. Recognizing the pivotal role of a strong community, I firmly believe it serves as the bedrock for any thriving environment. It is this conviction that led me to establish this transformative program, born out of the pressing need to bridge the resource and capacity gaps in our educational institutions. I am eagerly anticipating the opportunity to connect with you as we collectively embark on a journey of growth and development.
